V1.3 - The Industria Update


Welp. Version 1.3 has arrived in 2025. And this is the final planned update that adds content!  If you want to keep up with my projects - or maybe want to see how we got from 1.2 to 1.3 - then I'd recommend heading over to my website!

It's a break in format from the previous update posts, I know. But let's focus on what this update brings:

  • Overhaul to world design (It is ideal to start with a new file)
  • Updated art and cutscenes
  • Sins have more impact on combat!
  • A "Scan" skill to size up the enemy
  • Free soundtrack bundled with the game!
  • Further balancing to combat - including new items
  • Rewriting/polishing the story
  • Option for more challenging fights
  • A brand new boss and ending!
  • ???

So...what's next? There might be an update or two to fix any unexpected bugs and add extra special content, but that aside I'd consider StyxQuest to be fully done.  It was fun, I learned a lot about RPGMaker, and the people who showed support really liked it. Though I also learned where I fell short; specifically with work ethic. And also that it's probably ideal to have a story written down instead of a loose idea. StyxQuest also allowed me to consider ideas for a different project - one that's been on and off development for a long time. My standards have risen and I now know what comes next. 

It'll be a little while before I can present my next project. But I hope you guys will enjoy it. And in the meantime I hope you enjoy this update.
